Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The first person to be judged on the Day of Resurrection will be a martyr. He will be brought before God. Then God will remind him of the blessings (given in the world). And he will remember it too. Then Allaah will ask him, What have you done in the world? He will say, “I have fought (with the disbelievers) for your pleasure.” I was even martyred in the end. Then Allah will say, “You are lying, but you have fought to be called a hero.” And (according to your intention) you have been told that in the world. Then orders will be given about him. Then he will be dragged upside down and thrown into hell.
Then the person will be brought to justice who has taught religious knowledge himself and taught others. And studied the Holy Quran (and taught others). He will be brought before the court of God. Then He will remind him of the blessings, and he will remember them. Then Allaah will ask him, “What have you done to give thanks for all these blessings?” In reply, he will say, “I myself have taught religious knowledge and taught others and I have recited the Qur’an for your satisfaction.” Then Allah will say, you are lying. Not to my satisfaction, but to teach you knowledge so that you may be called a ‘scholar’ and for that, you have studied the Qur’an, So that you are called ‘Qari’. And (according to your intention) you have also been called a scholar and a reciter. Then (the angels) will be instructed about him. So he will be thrown into hell by being dragged upside down.
Then a person will be brought before Allah to be judged, whom Allah has enriched by giving him a lot of wealth. Allah will first remind him of the blessings bestowed upon him. And then he will openly acknowledge all the blessings. Then he will ask him, “What have you done with your wealth?” In reply, he will say, I spent in your way so you may be satisfied, for your satisfaction you have not stopped spending in any way in those sectors. Allah will say, you are lying. Not to my satisfaction; Rather, you donated for the purpose of being told that he was a ‘giant’. So (in the world according to your intention) you have been called a ‘giant’. Then (the angels) will be instructed about him. According to the instructions, he will be thrown upside down and thrown into hell. ”[Muslim H / 1905 ‘Leadership’ Chapter, Article-43; Mishkat-Albani H / 205, ‘Ilam’ chapter]
The consequences of the period of showing people are very terrible. Therefore, we must always keep our intentions pure and do everything for the satisfaction of Allah alone.
